NEVID Diploma Concepts
This module provides the fundamental knowledge for leading a comprehensive stroke center. You will master the acute management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, from initial diagnosis in the emergency setting to the administration of intravenous thrombolysis (tPA/TNK). The curriculum emphasizes rapid assessment, protocol-driven care, and the critical decision-making required to improve patient outcomes in time-sensitive scenarios.
The ability to interpret neuroimaging is the eyes of the neurointerventionist. This training provides an in-depth understanding of CT, CTA, CT perfusion, MRI/MRA, and digital subtraction angiography (DSA). You will learn to identify critical findings like large vessel occlusions, aneurysm features, and perfusion mismatches, forming the essential foundation for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
This cornerstone of the program equips you with the advanced skills to safeguard patients throughout their intervention journey. You will master real-time neurological and hemodynamic monitoring, learn to anticipate potential risks, and develop the critical decision-making expertise required to manage complications swiftly and effectively, ensuring optimal patient outcomes from the angiography suite to the ICU.
A comprehensive neurointerventionist must understand all treatment options. This module provides essential knowledge of traditional and modern surgical approaches for neurovascular diseases, highlighting when open surgery is a preferred or necessary alternative to endovascular techniques. You will also learn to manage neurosurgical complications, fostering seamless collaboration within a multidisciplinary care team.
This is the technical core of the diploma. Trainees progress from mastering diagnostic cerebral angiography to performing advanced life-saving procedures. The curriculum provides extensive hands-on training in mechanical thrombectomy for stroke, coil embolization of aneurysms, treatment of vascular malformations, and other state-of-the-art techniques, utilizing the latest devices and simulation technology.
GOALS OF THE NEVID Diploma

Practice endovascular neuro-interventional procedures by providing training based on solid comprehensive didactic curriculum and supervised clinical work with increasing responsibility for patient care.
